The Massachusetts Bar Association exists to serve the legal profession and the public by promoting the administration of justice, legal education, professional excellence, diversity and unity in the legal profession and respect for the law. The MBA encourages diversity of gender, sexual orientation, race, color, creed, age, disability, ethnic origin and geographic representation in its membership, Officers, House of Delegates, Executive Management Board, Section Councils and Committees.
The MBA mission is supported by two charitable nonprofit organizations: the Massachusetts Bar Foundation, the association's philanthropic arm, and the Massachusetts Bar Institute, which offers continuing legal education and public service opportunities.
