Serving the Legal Profession and the Public
The Massachusetts Bar Association exists to serve the legal profession and the public by promoting the administration of justice, legal education, professional excellence, diversity and unity in the legal profession and respect for the law. The MBA encourages diversity of gender, sexual orientation, race, color, creed, age, disability, ethnic origin and geographic representation in its membership, Officers, House of Delegates, Executive Management Board, Section Councils and Committees.

The MBA mission is supported by two charitable nonprofit organizations: the Massachusetts Bar Foundation, the association's philanthropic arm, and the Massachusetts Bar Institute, which offers continuing legal education and public service opportunities.

If you need assistance, please call MBA at (617) 338-0500 or browse our list of contacts to find the person most likely able to answer your question.

The Foundation’s MBF Legal Intern Fellowship Program provides fellowships to outstanding law students for volunteer internships at non-profit organizations providing civil legal services to indigent clients across the state.
